Cabbage Cucumber Salad details
This Cabbage Cucumber Salad is a staple salad in my family. It’s very simple and light, and pairs well with pretty much any meal. This is a very common salad amongst Slavic people, therefore there are many different versions of it. Mine is pretty basic, but still has a lot going on in the flavor department.
- Taste- This salad is tangy with a lot of fresh, bright flavor from the dill dressing.
- Texture- The cabbage and cucumber are crisp and crunchy, so extra refreshing.
- Ease- Not only is this salad simple to make, but it’s also very inexpensive, using just a handful of everyday ingredients.
- Time- Cabbage Cucumber salad only takes 10 minutes to make. Super easy for when you’re short on time.

How to Make Cabbage Cucumber Salad
- Chop the cabbage. Using a Chef knife, chop the cabbage into thin strips and place them in a bowl.
- Chop the other veggies and herbs. Now chop the cucumber, green onion, and fresh dill. Place them in with the cabbage.
- Make the dressing. Pour the white vinegar, salt, and olive oil from an olive oil dispenser (to avoid mess) into the bowl and mix to combine. Serve and enjoy.

Is Cabbage Healthy?
Yes, cabbage is very healthy. The nutritional benefits of cabbage are pretty extensive. Not only does it have a lot of antioxidants, but it is really high in key nutrients, such as Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Folate, Manganese, and Vitamin B6.
Is Cabbage Cucumber salad dressing keto friendly?
Yes, this delicious fresh dill dressing is Keto and Whole30 compliant – no sugar! The dill adds some zing to it. You can use this salad dressing for other things too – like a marinade for a Juicy Air Fryer Chicken Breast.
What to serve this salad with
This Cabbage Cucumber Salad is crisp, bright, and tangy. You can serve it with virtually anything and it will go great. Try it with smoky, savory flavors like these Smoked Ribs, Easy Homemade Barbecue Meatballs, and Grilled Teriyaki Chicken. It also tastes great with sandwiches, such as a Grilled Caprese Sandwich, Classic BLT Sandwich, or Slow Cooker Beef Brisket Sandwich. This salad is delicious with classic lunch and barbecue dishes, so enjoy it with all your favorites.

How to Store this salad
This Cabbage Cucumber Salad is best when eaten the day it’s made because the dressing can make the ingredients soft and soggy over time. However, you can make it ahead by preparing the dressing and chopping the vegetables, then storing them separately in the refrigerator in airtight containers. The veggies will last for 2-3 days, and the dressing for 3-4 weeks.
