2 cups raw sunflower seeds
3 Tbs sweet relish or 1/4 cup pickle juice
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup celery
1-2 Tbs Dijon mustard
1-2 Tbs vegan mayo
1 Tbs dried dill (4 Tbs fresh)
1 Tbs dried parsley (4 Tbs fresh)
1/2 tsp paprika
Sea salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Lemon pepper (optional)
Garlic powder (optional)
*Add enough salt to bring out the other seasonings and flavors.
*Splash of pickle juice will help to move the blender/food processor.
*Add seaweed flakes or capers for a fishier taste.
*Soy sauce or vegan Worcestershire sauce adds a nice touch to this recipe.
