This crunchy and spicy salad is high in protein and low in carbs. Replacing lettuce with mild green cabbage helps you include a cancer-fighting cruciferous vegetable into your diet.

Ingredients:

  • 2 c. shredded cabbage
  • 4 oz. cooked, ground lean turkey
  • 1t. chili powder
  • 1 t. cumin seed
  • 1/4 c. shredded low fat cheddar
  • 6 black olives, sliced
  • 6 T. chopped, fresh cilantro
  • 2 T. Salsa
  • 1 lime wedge

Instructions:

  1. Cook turkey in nonstick pan with chili powder and cumin. Toss together the rest of the ingredients. Squeeze lime wedge over all. Top the vegetables with the hot turkey.
