- for the salad:
- * 1 head red leaf lettuce, sliced in 1/2 from top to bottom, washed
- * thinly sliced red onion
- * 1 large basil leaf
- * 12 large cherry tomato
- * 1 tablespoon bacon dripping
- * salt and pepper to taste
