
The combination of sweet and savory sends this salad over the top! Candied pecans, dried cranberries and golden raisins make it extra special! This Festive Holiday Salad is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
- * 1 cup coarsely chopped pecan or walnut
- * 3 tbsp butter or margarine
- * 1/2 cup sugar
- * 1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
- * 1/4 teaspoon salt
- * 1 (10oz) box torn mixed salad greens or your favorite
- * 3/4 cup dried cranberry
- * 3/4 cup golden raisin
Instructions:
- In a skillet, cook and stir nuts in butter until toasted, about 5 min.
- Remove from the heat; stir in the sugar, pepper and salt.
- In a salad bowl, toss the greens, cranberries, raisins, cheese and nuts.
- Place the dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor; cover and process until smooth. Drizzle desired amount over salad; toss to coat or serve dressing on the side
- Serve immediately.
- Refrigerate leftover dressing.
