HEALTHY TABBOULEH SALAD RECIPE (Vegan)| Incredible Lebanon Cuisine Recipe | W/ Organic Bulgur Wheat
This week we’ll have Tabbouleh a la Virginia. 100% organic, very healthy and perfect for vegetarian and vegan diet.
It is named after a great chef Virginia Morais, for me one of the best in the world.
Traditionally, this is an arabic salad predominantly made of parsley, onion, tomato, and a little bit of bulgur. But since her husband didn’t like it because it has too much parsley, she decided to turn it around and put more bulgur and less parsley.
And that’s the version we’re bringing you today!

TABBOULEH A LA VIRGINIA
– 1 cup Bulgur Wheat
– 1 cup boiling Water
– 1/2 Red Pepper
– 1/2 medium Onion
– 1 Cucumber
– 3 medium Tomatos
– 1 small bunch of Parsleys
– 1 tbsp Olive Oil
– 1 Lime
– 1/4 tsp Salt
– Place the bulgur in a glass cup with boiling water.
– Cover with plastic film.
– Let it cook for 15 minutes.
– Meanwhile cut the vegetables as small as possible.
– After 15 minutes remove the film and place for 30 minutes in the freezer or until it’s cold.
– Mix all vegetables with the bulgur.
– Season with salt, lime and olive oil.
If you are not in a hurry, you can put the wheat in the refrigerator until it’s cold.
