Poached Pear Salad Recipe 6 of #10000Salads



Pear has to be the most underrated yet widely available fruits. People just don’t know what to make of it or with it. My personal problem is that the skin is so taunt, the fruit always feels hard from the outside. I can never tell when they are ripe. Ripe or not, I am going to show you how to make a cool pear salad.

Poached Pear Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

Bed of Mixed Greens
1 Star Krimson Pear
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Juice of 1/2 an orange
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 strawberries, diced
2 tablespoons raisins.

Directions:

Create a bed of greens on top of a salad plate.

Cut the pear in half and core it with a tablespoons.

Slice the pear, then vertically and fan the slice across the bed of greens.

Add the juice of the lemon, juice of the orange, olive oil, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract to a small bowl. Whisk to combine.

Spoon the faux poaching liquid dressing over the pear slices.

Sprinkle the top of the salad with the dices strawberries and raisins just for a little added color and sweetness.

Salad #6 is done. Eat up.
