This easy cabbage salad recipe is nutritious, healthy and helps with weight loss. All you need is to shred the cabbage to somewhat medium pieces and add seasonings to your liking. In this Indian cabbage salad recipe, which is also a vegetarian salad recipe, we used mild spices along with good amount of lime juice. Think of it as a salad dressing without fat or any other oil in it.

The tempering at the end gives balance by adding a bunch of lentils and Peanuts in tempering. It is low in carbs and perfectly balanced with veggies and protein, so it is a perfect salad recipe for weight loss. We used semi green cabbage here as green cabbage recipe can be really hard and chewy.

Salt – 1Tsp
Turmeric – A pinch
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 Tsp
Lime – 1
Coriander/Cilantro(Grated) – 1/4 Cup

For Tempering (Tadka):

Oil – 1 Tbsp
Peanuts – 2 Tbsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 Tsp
Split Chana (Dal) – 1/2 Tsp
Dry Red Chilli – 1
Curry Leaves – 5

**If you’re allergic to Peanuts, you can completely avoid it.
